IntraFuze Digital Educators Suite (IDES) is a collection of web-based tools designed with quality education in mind. This suite of tools, like our other products, operates on the theory that lack of HTML knowledge should not prohibit the sharing of ideas and knowledge online. This powerful package includes a lesson plan devlopment / sharing module, a document sharing module, a classroom webpage module, a survey module, and an announcment module.
Here's how it works:
An educator can log into the IntraFuze portal and choose between the three modules. For example, if Debbie is a second grade teacher and she is teaching a unit that is taught district-wide, she can opt to upload her tried and true lesson plan for use by other second grade teachers in the district. Along the same lines, if Debbie has created a handout for this unit, she can choose to upload it and attach it to the lesson plan. When Sue, another second grade teacher in the district, decides to view Debbie's lesson plan, she will also see that she can download the handout that Debbie created. Debbie's e-mail will also be attached to the lesson plan which provides two-way communication between the teachers.
Two-way communication does not stop with teacher-to-teacher communications. After Sue's class has completed Debbie's lesson, Sue can create a classroom webpage to share the activity with the parents, community and staff of the district. Sue is able to upload photos and documents, add links and give general class information in minutes. The best part is that Sue does not have to stay after class to work on her class website. She can log in on any computer connected to the web to update or maintain her site.
